OK, I admit it. I can be pretty lame.
My publicist set up a Bitter Things website on Facebook (as opposed to the Bitter Things fan site, set up by Nancy Scarborough). And I haven't checked it out in a while. And people have been posting things there!
I've been feeling like a schmuck lately, too -- don't worry, it's par for the course when you're writing a novel: I'm great! I suck! I'm the best writer who's ever lived! I can't believe people would spend their hard-earned cash for this tripe! -- so I really could have used the accolades and notes of encouragement sooner. But I did get them, so not to worry.
Here's a funny one from Rich Liuzzo: "Bitter Things was my commuting companion last week and I had to force myself to put it down when I reached my destinations. Fast paced, seductive and alluring...intertwined with a unique group of characters. Bravo Andrew Valentine. Let's hope this is the first of many novels to come!"
